The award-winning bakery chain expands further into the North-West with their second northern venue and this time they’re opening up in Altrincham.
Founded in the early 90’s by chef and baker Yael Meija, the chain has expanded over time to span across 70 locations including London, Brighton, Oxford and Cambridge. Over that time they’ve developed their own unique artisan style while specialising in all things bread as well as focusing on their bakeries becoming community hubs, not just shops.

Alongside their fantastic array of loaves they also supply customers with a range of fresh Coffees, Pastries and cakes as well as serving up breakfast and lunch.
They had this to say about their new venue over on Instagram: “Our new bakery in Altrincham, our second in the North-West, celebrates the town’s market culture through embracing the existing space.
Our friends at @objectspaceplace designed with minimising waste in mind. The timber shopfront, lovingly-worn terrazzo tiles and the original wall and pendant lights have all been retained to gently reflect the past. Complementing this, muted shades of cream and natural materials such as cork and beech faced plywood create a relaxed and warm space.
We also took inspiration from the nearby market with the simple and authentic black metal frame of the baker’s table and bread shelves.”
