Get the Northern Monk habit as they pop up at Common

21 October 2015 by Neil Sowerby

COMMON bar has pulled off a coup by hosting a tap takeover from cult Leeds brewery Northern Monk, as part of the launch for its first all-encompassing illustration exhibition since the refit earlier this year.

The Monks impressed at the recent IndyManBeerCon, organised by Jonny Heyes and the Common team. Now from 6pm on Thursday, October 29, comes the chance to sample a larger range of their beers.

Taste of Manchester’s top Monk tips are Dark Arches, 6.7 per cent Black IPA with Kiwi hops, Strannik, 9 per cent Imperial Russian Stout and Quincessential, a 6.per cent quince IPA brewed in collaboration with IMBC that was one of the stand-outs at the Victoria Baths event.

The same night is the opening of Common’s new exhibition, Frog’s Shadow Reaches The Rock Before The Frog by A Woman and a Rodent. Free entry.
