It’s the brainchild of John Adeyemi, mixologist at George's Dining Room & Bar, who has given the traditional vodka-based Bloody Mary a trendy gin twist. It contains Bombay Sapphire, fresh chillies, basil, cucumber, celery salt, tomato juice and a dash of balsamic vinegar. It costs £7.50.
Gin just happens to be the favourite tipple of Ryan Giggs, co-owner of the popular Worsley eaterie with old pals Kelvin Gregory and Bernie Taylor. Adeyemi said: “We have a lot of gin drinkers at George’s so I wanted to create a seasonal cocktail this Christmas just for them. The ingredients used in Snap Out of It! will give customers the health-kick to recovery they may need this party season, and they may even feel as fit as Ryan himself after my drink.”
