THIS Saturday (Aug 31) and Sunday (Sep 1) Westfest 2019, Manchester’s liveliest celebration of indie neighbourliness, takes over Burton Road. There’s a remarkable roster of food, drink music and activities on offer from West Didsbury stalwarts such as Thai legend Crazy Wendy mixing street food and in your face karaoke, while cocktail bar newcomers Zaranda will be mixing Caribbean steel bands, sax and jerk chicken on the Sunday afternoon.
Add in pop-up bars, glitter face painting, cakes from the Dish Ran Away With The Spoon, glitterchox and a DJ from Cocoa Cabana and wine and cheese pairings from Reserve Wines and Cheese Club MCR plus much, much more and you have close to a West Didsbury carnival on your hands.
