GOOEY HAS OPENED A SECOND MANCHESTER SITE

10 May 2021 by Deanna Thomas

Gooey, the popular independent Manchester bakery, which has seen huge queues for its insta-famous cookies, donuts and soft serve ice-cream concoctions, has opened a new kiosk at Hatch

It is the second city centre site for the Manchester-based sweet treat specialist. The bakery brand has earned itself a huge fanbase since setting up a booth in the entrance to Ducie Street Warehouse in March 2020.

They’re in great company too as Gooey joins Oh My Cheesecake, and Biscuit and Brew creating a new holy trinity of treats which makes Hatch a proper dessert destination.

Gooey’s Hatch shop is an outward facing unit with direct and easy access from Oxford Road. Gooey’s outrageously instagrammable, decadent and inventive products will be dished out from Wednesday - Sunday 12pm-6pm as takeaway or to be enjoyed on site at Hatch.

It’s not going to be easy to pass by the new Hatch unit without grabbing one of their giant, handmade, New-York inspired cookies with ever changing flavours and fillings, fluffy brioche donuts and soft serve ice cream.

The new traders will be joining Hatch’s incredible roster of residents which include the likes of Takk, Abeja Tapas Bar, Grandad’s Sausages and Hanoi 75 serving Vietnamese favourites from a 20-year old double-decker bus. Hunkered down under the city’s iconic Mancunian Way flyover, it’s home to some of the most exciting and creative independent businesses in the city.
