AUSTRALASIA is creeping into neighbouring territory with the growth of a sultry new bar and garden, just in time for more clement weather! Opening on July 1, Grand Pacific Bar & Garden will be a contemporary colonial oasis in the heart of Spinningfields, directly behind the Armani Store, where patrons can relax with a thirst-quenching cocktail.
A secluded staircase within Australasia will provide a direct link into the neoclassical main interior of Grand Pacific where youll discover a long bar, evoking the laid-back feel of a Pacific Rim beach hideaway. In keeping with the easy-going vibe, the bar will serve delicately prepared sushi and other light bites from Australasias menu.
It comes hard on the heels of another opening (June 27) from Tim Bacons hyperactive Living Ventures group. Artisan, also in Spinningfield covering 12,000 square feet on the Avenue North section with a stripped-back feel and two wood ovens at the centre of the restaurant serving up meat, fish and pizza dishes.
