Great breweries to star at Pilcrow Easter Weekender

3 April 2017

WE’RE glad to see The Pilcrow Pub fulfilling its remit to liven up the deadly quiet after-dark NOMA neighbourhood, while flying the flag for the world’s best craft beer. Now they have surpassed themselves for their Easter Weekend festival.

‘House beer’ Cloudwater – rated fifth best brewery in the world by RateBeer – go hoppy head to head with Brooklyn’s Other Half Brewing, 10th best in the same international table, while Huddersfield’s Magic Rock also cross the Pennines for The Pilcrow Weekender and its three straight days of barbecue.

Other Half Brewing are guests of honour on Sunday, April 16, introducing special brews never seen before In Manchester. Perfect to accompany barbecued meat and veggie options, being served 12pm until late.

There’s music from 6pm throughout the weekend from local DJs: Better Days on Friday, Rikki Humphrey on Saturday, and Aficionado Recordings on Sunday.

The Pilcrow Pub is operated by All Our Yesterdays, a new partnership between the owner of Northern Quarter bars Common and Port Street Beer House, Jonathan Heyes, and the co-founder Cloudwater, Paul Jones.

The artisan pub, handmade by local volunteers is the hospitality hub of the Co-op funded 20-acre NOMA development opposite Victoria train station.

The Pilcrow, Sadler’s Yard, Hanover Street, Manchester M60 0AB.
