GREAT BRITISH MENU STARS ADAM REID AND MARK FROYDENLUND TEAM UP FOR MANCHESTER BANQUET

10 May 2017

TASTE of Manchester expects many of you are glued to the screens watching Great British Menu, the interest intensifying this Monday (May15) with the arrival of the North West heats of this BBC2 cook-off show, this year featuring Paul Askew of the Art School, Liverpool, Tom Parker of the White Swan, Fence and Ellis Barrie of the Marram Grass, Anglesey.

They have a hard act to follow in The French’s Adam Reid, whose blown-sugar Golden Empire apple dessert won through to be served at the 2016 GBM banquet (you can taste it on the current menu – our review here).

Also making the final cut to cook for the Queen at the Palace of Westminster with his ‘Celebration of Rose Veal was Mark Froydenlund, head chef at Marcus Wareing’s two Michelin star Marcus in The Berkeley Hotel, and the pair became pals.

Now they are teaming up for a one-0ff collaboration in the kitchens of Adam Reid at The French on Tuesday, June 13. Each will cook three dishes to create a bespoke six-course tasting menu showcasing their styles.

Tickets to Adam Reid at The French featuring Mark Froydenlund cost £80 per person with an accompanying wine flight available on request at £65 per person. Bookings can be made on 0161 235 4780.
