IT all got a bit confusing, though undeniably tasty. GRUB Food Fair's winter break was followed by two record-breaking festivals celebrating beer and veganism – all very of the moment. Now normal weekly service is being resumed from Friday February 2 and Saturday 3 of the regular Food Fair and on Sunday 4 of Plant Powered Sunday, both at their their winter home, Fairfield Social Club.
GRUB Food Fair kicks off on Friday February 2 at 12pm and just in the first four weeks it and Plant Powered Sunday will host top street food chefs such as Street Cleaver, Purely Pizza, Wallace & Sons, Gravy Train, What’s Your Beef, Andy Low n Slow, Wanderer Junk Food, Bakeorama and many, many more. All this alongside the terrific roster of locally produced beers served from the Social Club’s mega craft beer bar (picture below from Northern Industry Photography).
What is impressive is the boost of so many impressive traders new to us at ToM. We’ve been salivating at our main picture – of one of York-based Street Cleaver’s eclectic, global dishes.
Jules Bailey, director of GRUB told us: “It feels like we’ve been away for ages! We’ve loved having a bit of a break and putting on two mega festivals but we’re so happy to be back doing what we do week in week out. We’re particularly chuffed with all the brand new traders appearing, the line-ups are fantastic.”
Grub Food Fair starts Fri Feb 2 and runs every Fri an Saturday between 12pm-10pm. Plant Powered Sundays starts Sun Feb 4 and runs every Sunday 12pm-6pm. The events are free entry and welcome all comers including families and dogs. Full details of the Grub Food Fair re-launch event can be found on the Facebook event page.
