Harvey Nichols Manchester presents a fortnight fit to bursting with special events, masterclasses and celebration menus at the Second Floor Restaurant, Bar and Brasserie.
Sunday 4 May will mark the start of an exciting two-week extravaganza: showcasing the very best that the Second Floor Restaurant, Bar and Brasserie has to offer as part of the inaugural Harvey Nichols Restaurant Festival.
Hold your breath, make a wish and step into the Second Floor Restaurant on Monday 5 May for a special screening of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, complete with an Afternoon Tea party comprising a feast of marvellous miniature treats inspired by the story (at 4pm, £17.95 per person).
If Champagne, rather than chocolate is your style, your wish could still come true with the sumptuous five course Veuve Clicquot Champagne tasting dinner on Friday 16 May. Dishes will include Arctic Char, crab beignet, tempura samphire paired with Vintage Blanc 2004 and Goosnargh Duck, fennel, vanilla creamed potato with Vintage Rich 2002. Alex Gamble from Moët Hennessy will host the evening, sharing insight into the Veuve Clicquot Champagnes as they are served.
Food and drink buffs can test their knowledge at the Second Floor Brasserie Food and Drink Quiz and dinner on Wednesday 7 May hosted by the citys much loved cuisine critic, Manchester Confidentials Gordo. Not to be missed for any self-respecting food expert, the three course dinner and quiz are priced at £25 per person.
Special Cocktail Masterclasses will take place at the Second Floor Bar including one for rum lovers (Friday 9 May and Saturday 10 May) well drink to that!
