Has Manchester just invented the world’s first cauliflower cheese menu?

Now we can take dining back inside our favourite places to eat, drink and celebrate, there’s no better way to enjoy some autumnal comfort food than with a classic Sunday Lunch.

Ducie Street Warehouse, the all-day bar and kitchen on the ground floor of the Grade II listed former Victorian warehouse, has just launched its new Sunday Lunch offering ‘Sunday with Sides’, a day of classic roast meats with vegetarian and vegan options available.

The new menu comes with Manchester’s first (and quite possibly the world’s first) Cauliflower Cheese Menu created by Sunday Lunch impresario, chef Andrew Green (formerly of the Lowry Hotel). The selection includes a classic vintage cheddar cauliflower cheese, truffle, bacon fizzles, blue cheese, macaroni or a totally vegan cauliflower ‘cheese’.

Aiming to make Ducie Street Warehouse’s Sunday Lunch head and shoulders above the rest, the new menu will make its debut on Sunday 26th September. Available between 12.30-8.30pm guests will be able to choose between dry-aged shorthorn beef sirloin, roast supreme of corn fed chicken, rosemary roasted leg of lamb, free-range gammon and a weekly changing vegan roast. All served with roast potatoes from Massey’s local Cheshire farm, homemade giant Yorkshire’s, seasonal veg and gravy.

Find it hard to choose between that lot? We don’t blame you. Ducie Street Warehouse also offer ‘Something for Everyone’ on the menu, giving a slice of each of the four meats with all the usual trimmings. There’s also a ‘Share Menu’ for two people which includes Harissa spiced whole chicken, Miso glazed fish of the day, an 800g Tomahawk of Cheshire beef or a whole roasted ‘Ras el Hanout’ cauliflower.

Along with the cauliflower cheeses, other Sunday with Sides include Cumbrian pigs-in-blankets, honey roasted heirloom carrots, minted sugar snaps and others.

Sunday lunch at Ducie Street Warehouse is complemented with live music and DJs until 9pm, presented by Manchester’s brightest new talents and board games are available at the bar.

Add a little more to your late afternoon/evening with new Sunday Cocktails, part of the latest Sunday Sundowner offering from 5pm to 9pm and 50% off selected cocktails including the house Bellini, Espresso Martini and DSW Bloody Mary, Red Snapper, Breakfast Margarita, Ducie sangria Warehouse and Champagne Mimosa.

And if you’re feeling full, cosy and blissed out after all that, feel free to book one of 166 individually designed studios, loft apartments or duplex penthouses at Native Manchester, the UK’s largest aparthotel.

Pre-booking Sunday lunch via https://duciestreet.com/food-and-drink/ is highly recommended, but walk-ins are also welcome.
