Hatch kicks off 2019 with a fresh batch of street food traders

24 January 2019

RINGING the changes is a key vibe at Hatch, the street food and craft urban hub on Oxford Road, so the start of 2019 sees new food traders coming on board and, in the case of Woks Cluckin’, rejoining the fold.

Woks Cluckin From Thursday, January 24, these indie purveyors of fresh Pan-Asian street food are back, serving up their signature dish of Korean fried chicken with kimchi plus many more Wok-cooked treat.

Meatless Farms Proving plant-based is not just for Veganuary, this Leeds-based company is dedicated to creating burgers, patties and more – all loaded with taste and texture. It’s all about making the reduction of meat consumption easy. Check out their Smokin’ Meatless Chilli, Saucy Meatless Marinara and their benchmark vegan bacon and cheese burger. Dishes can all be served gluten-free too.

T’Arricrii Sicilian brothers Riccardo and Romeo remain at Hatch with their popular arancini range (with meat, fish and veggie options), juices made with Sicilian fruits and cannolis.

The Mac Shac Expect Mac n Cheese combinations baked on site with a range of optional toppings – including veggie tomatoes, garlic and fresh basil and meaty favourites like smokey bacon crumb with maple syrup.

Electrik Box From January 23 this popular bar is back with 10 lines of draught and craft ales, a beer vending machine, arcade games and one of the best (and free) jukeboxes in town. Watch out for events like Quingo, a fun mash-up of a quiz and bingo with prizes galore.

There are plenty of heaters and shelter if you fancy a bracing al fresco dining experience, or diners can grab and go, or cosy up in Öl or Takk, the first serving natural wines and craft beers from their own nano brewery, the second offering artisan coffee, cakes and more.
