Hotel celebrates launch of Coronation Street Tour with bespoke Afternoon Tea
To celebrate the launch of the Coronation Street Tours in the city centre, Hilton Manchester Deansgate has created a bespoke Afternoon Tea inspired by the UKs favourite soap.
Cloud 23, Hilton Manchester Deansgates iconic bar, will be serving up a very special Afternoon Tea of cakes, cocktails and sandwiches. What better way to reminisce about your favourite episodes than whilst enjoying one of Bet Lynchs beautiful buns, Gails cheesy platts and washing it all down with a Ena Sparkles cocktail?
Served on the 23rd floor of the iconic Beetham Tower, guests will have one of the best views of Manchester possible, so whilst enjoying their delicious Afternoon Tea they can even spot the old set for Coronation Street from the hotels famous floor to ceiling windows in Cloud 23
John McLaughlin, general manager of Hilton Manchester Deansgate, comments: Everyone affectionately associates Manchester with Coronation Street, so many of our visitors to the city always mention their love of the soap. Its definitely part of Manchesters heritage.
Our themed Afternoon Tea will take guests on a culinary journey where they can have fun reminiscing about their favourites characters and recall the soaps most exciting plot lines.
Guests can nibble on a Warm Weatherfield Cake (Eccles cake), have a mouthy treat in the form of a Battersby Battenberg, or savour the memories of lovely Stan and Hilda with a tribute Sherry Trifle, created in honour of the Ogdens.
Five different sandwiches and savouries are also served, each honouring the legendary ITV soap, including Spiced Coronation Street Sandwich, Bettys Hotpot Wrap and Roy Crockers Fish Supper.
