There was surprisingly no place for high profile Manchester House, which last year made the Top 50, or Adam Reid at The French.
Once again, in these awards organised by Restaurant magazine and presented at London’s Hurlingham Club, the Michelin-starred pub-restaurant The Sportsman at Seasalter in Kent was named Restaurant of the Year.
Sam Buckley of Stockport’s Where The Light Gets In and Luke Cockerill of Rabbit In The Moon, in Urbis had both been shortlisted in the Chef to Watch category but missed out. The Hawksmoor group won best cocktail list.
