THERES no need to schlepp over to Munich to clink steins and get dizzier by the litreful. Our own Gorilla bar is holding an Oktoberfest, this Friday (Oct 10). The club will be set up like a big beer hall with beer hall tables and benches, and traditional Oktoberfest decor. All well and good, but Taste of Manchester hopes they dont run to an oompah band.
Its on from 4 to 10pm and the ticket includes a free stein as a memento. Remember to take it home with you after downing you quota of Paulaner Oktoberfest beer. Food will be German Beer hall style and include roast chicken, pretzels, bratwust and sauerkraut, all made in-house.
Tickets are £5 and can be bought at the bar in Gorilla or online here. Theres also a guarantee of free entry to anyone brave enough to come in traditional Oktoberfest garb; Leiderhosen or Dirndl.
