THE People's Choice Wine Awards are back for a second year at the Comedy Store, Deansgate Locks, giving consumers a voice in picking the best bottles around.
As with last year’s debut event, the ceremony itself will be hosted by Wine Show presenter Amelia Singer and BBC Food and Drink’s Kate Goodman, who runs Reserve Wines in West Didsbury. The MC will be comic Steve Royle.
There are plenty of samples for public and professionals alike. as you’d expect with a total of 28 categories. We’ll forgive them for reprising some seriously punny titles. Who’s up for War of the Rosés, Pass the Crackers and Boxing Clever? Well, maybe not: Girl’s Night In.
To accompany all that wine there’ll be a locally sourced buffet and live music for what the organisers promise will be “a relaxed and informal evening of celebration”
