OLD Granada Studios has announced ‘the Weekender’ – a free weekend event bringing together the region’s most covetable designer-makers, independent brands and local food producers under one roof on Saturday June 20 and Sunday June 21.
Central to it is The Workshop – an industrial space that has been transformed into a creative playground and concept store, where punters will be able to browse and order accessories, fashion and homewares from noteworthy designers including Julia Roy Williams (WONDERHAUS), ceramicist Joe Hartley, Manchester boutique Lissom and Muster and Vogue-featured jewellery designer Jade Mellor.
Food comes from Manchester favourite, Mary-Ellen McTague alongside resident independent coffee aficionados Caffeine and Co. Bitter Twisted will be on hand with The Venezia, a mobile cocktail bar in a converted Citroen van (pictured above), recreating a stylish 1920’s gin garden, alongside some of the region’s best drinks providers.
The PLaYROOM will provide optional entertainment for children in the form of an arts and craft workshop, where busy parents can take time to enjoy a creative activity with their little ones.
