Let’s all rise up and celebrate Yorkshire Pudding Day

2 February 2018 by Neil Sowerby

THE only good thing that came out of Yorkshire is the M62? Just Taste of Manchester’s little joke as we prepare to mark National Yorkshire Pudding Day this Sunday (Feb 4). What! For you every Sabbath is a celebration of savoury batter accompanying an ample roast?

Why not try it Tyke style as a starter, doused in gravy? Or as a sweet with lashings of jam? ToM’s Matty White is going down that route after tackling Daft Puddin' founder Jason Hartley for some tips. Jason was fresh from a cross-Pennine collab with our own gravy-fuelled Beastro.

In our interview Jason introduced Matty to some global, gourmet takes on the Yorkie but with a warning for those who seek to defile the object of his worship: “No crap wraps, only posh puds”.
