Salvi's is hosting a special one-off event at their new restaurant and deli at Deansgate Square where guests can enjoy several delicious courses accompanied by a carefully chosen matching wine. A wine matching expert will be on hand to guide guests through what they’re drinking.

Enjoy a very special six-course tasting meal paired with the highest quality Italian wines. This event will be hosted by highly respected and well-versed Master of Wine with over 33 years’ experience, Nick Tatham, the entire evening will take you on a culinary journey through different regions of Italy.
The event has been curated by Nick and owner of Salvi’s, Maurizio Cecco, and begins with a drink upon arrival in the outside terrace and Amalfi garden. This will be followed by a six course meal with wine chosen specifically to complement each dish flawlessly. Alongside this will be flavour-pairing explanations from Nick helping you explore the relationship between your food and drinks, and more.
Nick is one of the best in his field and the marriage of his knowledge of wine and the delectable meal made by Salvi's, this will be a night to remember.
The evening will begin with a rich crostini with truffle and ‘nduja paired with Hanami Rosé IGP Terre Siciliana from the Sicily region. Next a fresh and light octopus salad, accompanied by Falanghina Beneventano IGT Macchialupa (Campania).
The third course is an Italian staple of ravioli cooked in a buttery sauce, paired with Pecorino Offida DOCG Villa Angela from the Marche region, followed by paccheri pasta with salsiccia and friarelli (Italian wild broccoli) accompanied by Passo Del Bricco Piemonte DOC Rosso.
The penultimate dish is a perfectly cooked pork medallion and red wine jus paired with the Sardinian wine Llunes Cannonau di Sardegna Riserva DOC. Ricotta and pear cake is the grand finale and alongside L’Ecru Passito IGT Sicilia (a dessert wine from the Sicily region) - the perfect ending to this flavour journey.
