The founders of Flight Club are bringing their London-born Electric Shuffle bar to the former Evans Cycles unit on Deansgate.
Electric Shuffle opened its first venue in London’s Canary Wharf back in 2019. The bar takes the basic concept of the popular shuffleboard game - where players push weighted discs down a smooth wooden table - and reinvents it into a unique evening concept for the 21st century, complete with food, drink and bottomless brunch.
Electric Shuffle offers three versions of shuffleboard that can be booked for up to 32 people. The first is a high-octane experience that’s all about landing the disc on the highest scoring section, the second is for the more skilled player, as those who land their puck closest to the set target win and third is focused on territory, as players compete to own the largest amount of space on the board.
Whilst you get competitive, Electric Shuffle completes the experience with a vast menu of cocktails, food and drink. The menu varies from small plates like pulled pork bao buns, salt and pepper squid and nachos, to sourdough pizza paddles and a selection of burgers and wraps filled with grilled chicken, buttermilk chicken, falafel and more.
Groups can also book a bottomless brunch experience at the venue. From £30 per person Thursday – Sunday, guests can enjoy their own bottle of prosecco each and bottomless pizza paddles during a two-hour session. There’s also the option to add an Electric shuffleboard sampler onto the brunch, where you’ll spend an hour battling it out with your pals around the table.
Electric Shuffle comes from the team behind social darts concept Flight Club. Founded in 2013, Flight Club has now grown to have several venues in London, Manchester and Birmingham, as well as sites over in the US in Boston and Chicago.
Well versed in offering an alternative to after work drinks and awkward chat in the local, the team behind Flight Club have already branched Electric Shuffle out to Leeds and two spaces in the US. The Manchester venue is the sixth venue for the shuffleboard bar.
A consultation for Electric Shuffle Manchester is taking place on Friday 25 August.
