Liverpool has a really great Mexican street food restaurant just behind Fact. Fortunately, we're not the only ones who know about it - and it's proved a massive hit with, well, everyone. Everything from pil bil tacos to portobello mushroom and chilli butter quesadillas are served with care, love and devastating authenticity in a restaurant that is the epitomy of cheery. The torillas are small and soft, the salsas spicy as an angry dragon. We found the pineapple and chilli fairly unreasonable - so you can imagine the scotch bonnet for yourselves. And the dishes with their mix and match sensibility seem made for sharing; eating out in 2013 all over.
The good news is that Liverpool's stars of spice are coming to Manchester. The date for the big day is the second week in November (we think - we're waiting on official confirmation). The site is another scoop for the Great Northern with Lucha setting up shop next to All Star Lanes in what was formerly known as Persia. Taste recently headed over to Liverpool to try Lucha's wares and came back raving. Have a look at the menu here and get hungry.
