LUNCH SORTED: Australasia celebrates 15 years with a brand new £15 lunch menu

27 August 2025 by Rhiannon Ingle

It’s hard to believe it’s been 15 years since Australasia first opened its iconic glass pyramid entrance on Deansgate, bringing Pacific Rim sunshine to Manchester’s dining scene. To mark the milestone, the restaurant is launching a brand-new weekday lunch deal that’s as stylish as it is delicious.

This is your friendly reminder that diners can now tuck into a £15 lunch menu, served Monday to Friday, 12pm–5pm, featuring a build-your-own bowl plus a soft drink. For those who fancy something a little more celebratory (it is a birthday, after all), you can upgrade to £18 and swap in a glass of prosecco, wine or beer.

The menu starts with a choice of base:

  • Udon – scorched hand-pulled noodles, tossed with chilli bean, black pepper, crisp veg and sprouts.

  • Rice – wok-hei jasmine rice, fried with egg, spring onion, soy and five spice.

  • Raw – a vibrant green slaw with heritage carrot, smashed cucumber, sesame and crispy shallot.

Protein comes next, with three options: crispy tofu, charred lemongrass chicken, or grilled tiger prawns. Feeling indulgent? Add one of Australasia’s luxe sides, from miso aubergine with Amaranth popcorn to kombu salt fries with truffle mayo.

This summer deal comes hot on the heels of the restaurant’s recent revamp, which saw the space refreshed and menus reimagined under new Head Chef Lucie Sainerova (ex-Novikov and Raffles).

Expect bold flavours, open-flame cooking, and dishes designed to share – perfect for long, lazy lunches that stretch into the afternoon.
