Magnificent seven cook at Manchester House for charity dinner

17 February 2016 by Neil Sowerby

MANCHESTER House is the venue for a very special one-off charity dinner hosted by celeb chef Tom Aiken, a culinary mentor of its chef, Aiden Byrne.

Joining them in the kitchen to raise cash for Hospitality Action will be five other Aikens proteges – Tom Sellers of Restaurant Story, Vicky Enderson of MSK, Dan Smith of the Peacock at Rowsley, Roger Hickman of Roger Hickman’s and (pictured above with Tom) Lee Westcott of Typing Room.

They’ll be preparing an eight-course dinner with wine pairing – for £200 a head. All profits from the event on Wednesday, March 9 will go to Hospitality Action, offering a crucial lifeline to people of all ages, working and retired from the hospitality industry.

At 26, Aikens became the youngest British chef ever to be awarded two Michelin stars. Kirkby-raised Aiden Byrne (above) worked with him at London’s Pied a Terre. Manchester House, where he is head chef, has just been awarded four AA rosettes
