Makers Markets’ consecutive weekends at Chorlton and Salford Quays

17 January 2017

TWO more Makers Markets to bring a dash of craft style and culinary flavour to murky old January. First up on Saturday, January 21 the venue is Chorlton, followed on Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 by the Lowry Outlet incarnation.

The formula remains the same – crafts, food stalls and street food. Chorlton, again based Oswald Road Primary School and outside the Chorlton Library, promises on the food front open topped growlers from Cumbrian Pie, doorstop sized brownies from Lush Brownies, Sticky Toffee Pudding Cheeses from Cheshire Cheese, handmade truffles from In Truffle we Trust, Sweet treats from Oat Cuisine and  sweet and savoury treats from Vanillis. Wed suggest a winter warmer of artisan gin from 3 Pugs and Rose Cottage Gins.

Saturday January 21, 10am-4pm, Chorlton M21 9PN.

The fast growing Lowry Makers Market runs across two days (Saturday and Sunday, January 28 and 29) with a choice array  of street food favourites – Dog Haus serving german smoked bratwurst with an american twist, Ottomen’s Middle Eastern treats, burgers from What’s Your Beef, pizza from Wood Fire & Smoke and crepes from Crepe Chateau.

The food stalls include cheese wheels from Cheese Is Grate, authentic South African Biltong from Weston Biltong, mini cake loaves from Stuart Thornley, Sweet Nutella Samosas from Perfect Samosa and, celebrating Veganuary, appropriate pies from The Veggie Pie Co. Musical entertainment and storytelling for the kids too on the Sunday.

Saturday January 28, 10am-7pm and Sunday January 29, 11am-5pm. Lowry Outlets Open Air Plaza, Salford M50 3AH.
