Manchester Vegan Christmas Markets at Sacha’s Hotel and Victoria Baths

11 November 2018

WORLD Vegan Month is not just for November as plant-based treats extend into December with the Manchester Vegan Christmas Market at Victoria Baths on Friday, December 1 and Saturday 2. It’s a necessary alternative to the traditional Christmas Markets across the city centre with even a non-meat Bratwurst on offer.

The two day event in the Grade II listed Baths (and do wrap up… it’s a non-heated venue) will feature a totally vegan market with street food, artisan foods and an abundance of gift  stalls.

For the sweet-toothed there are vegan doughnuts from Oldham’s Doughliciousss – check out their Snowball (above), coated with white chocolate glaze and coconut sprinkles – and warm cookie dough, ice cream, and chocolates from the Vegan Choc Shop. To drink expect hot chocolate, mulled wine, vegan cocktails, natural wines, First Chop beers and Steep Soda soft drinks.

The Festival also hosts Flourish, Manchester's first zero waste shop, encouraging folk to bring their own jars, bottles, bags, or whichever container of choice, to take home food in.

Children are catered for with a Santa’s Grotto and craft centre, where they can create small Christmas decorations to take home. Plus there’ll be live oompah music.

The event will raise funds for Manchester’s homeless charity Barnabus who will be on hand offering charity gift wrapping services for any purchases made. And they'll also be showing some ReNu furniture, restored by members of Manchester's homeless community.

Manchester Vegan Christmas Market,  Victoria Baths, Hathersage Road, Manchester M13 0FE.  Dec 1-2, 10am-5pm. Early bird tickets cost £5 for adults and £3 for children, with free entry for children under five. Buy them here.
