Manchester Food and Drink Festival is already set to be a wonderful city-wide celebration of local food and drink, but now organisers have revealed that they’re also putting on the spectacular Wine and Fizz Festival.
For one weekend only between Friday 17th and Saturday 18th September, the stunning surroundings of Halle St Peters on Blossom Street, Ancoats, will be taken over by some of the region’s finest and most exciting independent wine retailers and brands.
Attendees can taste their way through dozens of incredible wines from around the globe as the participating retailers prepare to showcase some of their finest and most exclusive products. It’s a chance to chat directly to some of the industry’s most passionate wine sellers who will guide guests through all the vintages they have on offer.
Participating retailers confirmed so far include South Manchester wine delivery service Decent Drop, Prestwich’s Grape to Grain as well as UKiYO Republic showcasing their range of Japanese Sake.
As well as tasting the wines, guests can buy their favourites on site too and take some very special bottles home. A programme of tutored tastings and specialist masterclasses will take place across the weekend as well, offering extra opportunities to delve into specific wine topics, themes and regions.
Tunes to match the tipples will be provided by live acts throughout each session and food will be provided by Cafe Cotton.
After a tough 18 months, the MFDF Wine & Fizz Fest will be a laid back event where everyone’s welcome, local businesses are celebrated and the wine flows…
Tickets are £12.50 and are available HERE
The event is a highlight event as part of the Manchester Food and Drink Festival, which will take place from 16th - 27th September at Cathedral Gardens and across the city.
