DELIVEROO, the high-end restaurant delivery service, has pulled off a coup in adding Mary-Ellen McTague to its roster. It’s now the only means of tasting the former Aumbry chef’s acclaimed food until the opening of her next venture in the former Roadhouse music venue later in the year.
Mary-Ellen will operate from what were previously the catering kitchens within Old Granada Studios. Her 4244 at Home, an extension of the Northern Quarter pop-up she ran before Christmas, will supply meals to any lucky punter living within a 2.5 mile radius of the city centre. All they have to do is log on to https://deliveroo.co.uk/, place an order and the dishes will be delivered to their homes or offices within an average time of 32 minutes.
Already a huge success in London, Deliveroo has more than 750 restaurant partners and 300 drivers scooting top class fare across the capital. Since it was set up in 2013 it has attracted more than 50,000 users. Hence it is now rolling out nationwide. As well as bringing restaurant dishes to the comfort of your living room, Deliveroo also specialises in office lunches or catering for group meetings.
