Masterchef men and music stars at the Tatton Park Foodies Festival

5 July 2018

RARELY a summer weekend goes by without an opportunity to eat and drink in a parkland setting and they don’t come much bigger than the Foodies Festival at Tatton Park (July 13, 14 and 15).

The opening times have been extended this year and It goes without saying that baking features prominently, but there’s a top quality chef demo line-up, including ive in the Cake and Bake Theatre MasterChef Winner 2018 Kenny Tutt l and Stockport-based runner-up David Crichton.

Other familiar chef faces at the festival are Great British Menu Winner Adam Reid and Simon Rimmer, host of Channel Four’s Sunday Brunch.

Headline music acts are a little less of the moment – Toploader and The Hoosiers on the Friday, Dodgy on the Saturday. Alongside this the Foodies Festival is launching a new new Musicians Against Homelessness music stage.

There are more than 30 street food stalls in the Street Food Avenue, an artisan food market, Prosecco and Parmesan masterclasses in the Drinks Theatre, cocktails from the Tequila Shack, Tikki Rum Bar and Gin Station, cheese stretching and chilli eating competitions and, of course, chocolate making  and cake decorating workshops.

It’s family friendly with a kidzone and cookery lessons for them.
