Masterchef star Matt to guest at Real Junk Food Project

21 March 2018 by Neil Sowerby

FOR two special evenings in April (Wed 4 and Thu 5), Real Junk Food Manchester will welcome Masterchef The Professionals breakthrough star Matt Campbell.

For this latest chef 'Real Junk Food Challenge' Matt will work with the in house team to develop a multi course fine dining set menu using only ingredients that would have gone to waste. Each evening will consist of just one sitting for 45 guests. As with all RJFM events, tickets will be free to reserve, and the meal will be served on a pay-as-you-feel basis on the night. Book here.

Cumbrian Matt first learned his trade at Michelin-starred L’Enclume in Cartmel and, aged 20, finished second in BBC’s Young Chef of the Year competition. After which he worked as a private chef in France, India, Thailand, Peru, Central America and Iceland before making a huge impact in Masterchef 2017 before going out at the semi-final

More recently he has been promoting his own Nutritional Gastronomy movement, melding wellness and creativity in cuisine.

Real Junk Food Cafe, 85 Oxford Street, Manchester, M1 6EQ. April 4 and 5, 7.30pm-11pm.
