Kate Richards Creative cookery, a vegetarian banger bonanza, food tastings, wacky waiters and much more will be found in Manchester city centre on Saturday 19 May.
As part of a big celebration of all things edible and meat free, Albert Square is set to host the inaugural Meat Free in Manchester festival from 11am â 4pm.
Itâs completely free to attend and, as part of the event, youâll be able to collect some top tips for tasty vegetarian cookery in the professional cookery theatre. Rose Elliot AKA the renowned Queen of vegetarian cookery will be hosting as session alongside Alex Connell, Principal Tutor from the famous vegetarian cooking school, Cordon Vert.
Across the square, the aptly named Banger Bonanza will include sausage-related activities such as tastings and relish making, as well as Banger Races (weâre not sure what these are, but they sound good to us if they include bangers).
In between the sausage silliness youâll be able to get involved with smoothie bikes, giant card games, free samples and buy lots of tasty tucker from the food stalls. Thereâll also be a visit from Mr Bloom, a man who knows all about growing stuff - and weâve been told there will be creatures known as âVegetable Nanniesâ on site too.
