STOPTOBER? No way when you could be squeezing into those leathery hosen for a spot of oompah at the Yards at Mayfield. Ja, Manchester Oktoberfest is back for its sixth year of filling us all full of beer, bratwurst, schnitzel and schweinebraten. A little of all this goes a long way for ToM with our own Christmas markets less than a month away (they start on November 9), but this mini-version of Munich’s big bash is undoubtedly popular. Hence the 2,000 capacity tent (now at its new venue because of redevelopment work in Albert Square). And don’t worry –your favourite oompah bands have also made the venue switch.
