Part of the Manchester Food and Drink Festival, this is one festival highlight you won't want to miss, as the celebrated Big Indie Wine Fest takes over New Century Hall, the events venue for NOMA, for it's sixth year. The fair is a celebration of exciting, exclusive and boutique wines brought to you by the best independent merchants. It's a chance to try mind blowing wines that you won't find at your local Tesco.

The iconic space, which is a hub for events in the city centre, provides the perfect arena to enjoy wine provided by hand picked retailers offering the finest wines from around the world. Your ticket gets you your glass for the session - and then you're free to taste, talk and try your way around the tasting hall sampling exclusive wines and learning from the best. There'll be suitable refuelling opportunities provided too by some fine food producers – world-class cheeses, regional cold meats and many more. This is a must attend event for wine enthusiasts, experienced connoisseurs and novices alike.

Look out for Reserve Wines (run by the BBC Food and Drink's wine expert, Kate Goodman), Corks Out, family-produced French wines from Tour de BelfortPacta Connect's impressive Adriatic collection, and Bolton's award-winning boutique, T Wright Wine.
