Manchester Food and Drink Festival 2009 is set to host a spectacular star-studded celebration of the city’s food and drink scene – and you are invited! Join the cream of the culinary crop at the prestigious Palace Hotel for MFDF’s glamorous Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony – which is to be hosted by celebrity chef duo The Hairy Bikers.

The lavish event will unfold with a Champagne and canapé reception in the hotel’s stylish Tempus bar before guests are invited to enjoy an exclusive fine dining experience with a five-course banquet. Created by the hotel’s executive chef, the dinner will be a showcase of seasonal produce and culinary skill and each course will be served alongside specially selected wines.

The Hairy Bikers – aka Dave Myers and Si King – will then take to the stage and charm the audience with their lovable northern banter before the evening culminates with the much anticipated MFDF Awards presentation. You will be the first to hear who has scooped such sought after accolades as Restaurant of the Year, Bar of the Year, Newcomer of the Year and Chef of the Year – which have been voted for by a panel of industry experts and YOU the food-loving public.

Presenting the accolades will be a selection of high profile personalities, including leading expert on local and regional British food and the driving force behind Food Lovers Britain, Henrietta Green.

Tickets are priced at £80 + VAT per person, which includes a Champagne and canape reception, a gourmet dinner with matching wines and the chance to see who will take home the region’s hottest food and drink awards.
