IT’S hard to credit the upcoming Cocktails In The City, held this time at Old Granada Studios, has now been running for five years, a period in which the Manchester cocktail scene has exploded with creativity.
That’s reflected in the roll call of local bars jostling in pop-up form under one iconic roof this Friday (May 12) – The Liquor Store, The Laundrette, Arcane Bar, Hawksmoor, The Alchemist, Revolucion de Cuba, The Wash House, Cottonopolis, Be At One, Hula, Tusk, Roxy Ballroom, Roc & Rye, Lost in Tokyo, Manchester House, The Fitzgerald, Red Door and Tattu.
Here’s sneak preview of some of the drink brands involved. Special events include London pop-up sensation Pitch Black, who let you explore the true taste of cocktails in total darkness.
Guests will also be able to book into tasting table sessions, immersive drink experiences and enjoy street food from Chaat Cart, Eat New York and I Knead Pizza to a disco soundtrack.
Entry ticket of £12 includes one cocktail on arrival and a complimentary Fifth Anniversary rum punch cocktail by The Duppy Share and membership card worth £20. Additional cocktails are £6.50.
Friday May 12, 6pm-11pm, Studio 1, Old Granada Studios, Atherton Street, Manchester M3 3GS.
