MANCHESTERS historic Corn Exchange is set to transform itself into a unique Drinks Emporium, showcasing and celebrating the citys famous and diverse drinks scene. The whole building will be reclaimed by Manchester for the occasion, and brought to life for four big party nights.
A mix of the best bars, mixologists and liquor gurus will occupy the empty retail spaces within the mall and convert them into themed, pop-up drinking dens within the city centre destination from Thursday October 24 to Sunday October 27.
Each drinking den will be dominated by participating bars unique persona, all creating their own mini Corn Exchange Pop Up. Plus therell be a DJ stage and central seating area creating a bar festival experience all under one iconic roof and its completely free!
One of the citys most legendary bars, Socio Rehab, which closed last New Years Eve, is to be recreated for one weekend only in one of the venues most interesting vacant spaces funder the name Socio Reborn.
Manchester bar stalwarts The Ducie Bridge create their own acoustic bar, and The Mark Addys Robert Owen Brown brings a Cider Fest to the proceedings with his pop-up venue The Barn Yard. Meanwhile Kro Bar host a mini real ale festival.
Almost Famous will be on hand,too, to serve their legendary pulled pork burgers alongside their own kick ass cocktails!
XFM Manchester, an official media partner to the event will be adding to the soundtrack with DJs at the XFM Stage.
