SO many amazing, warming stories coming out in the aftermath of the Manchester Arena bombing. From the unlikeliest sources, too. Take Ed Hall, a lifeboat crew volunteer in London, who set up a crowdfunding page, aiming to raise £1,000 to pay for thank you drinks for Manchester’s Royal Infirmary staff, who have been treating victims of Monday’s terrorist attack.
Such has been the response within 36 hours over £10,000 (and counting) has been raised to put behind the bar at the Turing Tap pub next door to the hospital. The Tap, which is owned by the Stonegate Group, has also promised to provide free food for the embattled staff who have been doing such incredible work.
The Just Giving page is still open for donations.
