It's Negroni Week later this month (21st - 27th September), and the Salford Distillery is hosting a cracking Salford Gin Experience to celebrate the occasion.
The 45-minute immersive tasting also celebrates the launch of the distillery's very first gin, inspired by the forgotten stories of industrial Salford.
The new experience - which is open now for bookings - includes a welcome cocktail on arrival, a guided tasting of two signature gins, two expertly crafted cocktails, and finishes with a classic Gin & Tonic in the distillery bar, where guests are encouraged to stay, relax and soak up the atmosphere of the distillery - which is located just minutes away from Manchester city centre in a railway arch in Salford.
The experience builds on Salford Distillery’s multiple TripAdvisor award-winning Rum Experience, which has been running for several years.
What’s more, the team are incredibly proud to share that Salford Gin - the very first gin made by the Distillery - has been awarded a Gold Medal at the Global Gin Masters 2026!
Crafted in small batches, Salford Gin combines classic juniper and citrus with the unusual addition of willow bark - a botanical chosen because willow trees line the banks of the River Irwell, giving Salford its name centuries before mills, factories - and skyscrapers - transformed the landscape.
Tommy Gaughan, co-founder of Salford Distillery, said: "Rum allowed us to tell the story of Salford's docks. Gin takes us even further back in time to the people who shaped this city during the Industrial Revolution.
