New Botanist bar for Living Ventures on Deansgate

11 March 2014

A new bar and restaurant called The Botanist will be opening towards the end of July/early August on the site that is currently Label on Deansgate. Originally a JW Johnsons site, it was the first venue in Manchester that Living Ventures' Tim Bacon opened. So this new venue has a touch of destiny about it.

As with other Living Ventures brands, like Gusto or Alchemist, The Botanist is not a one-off. Check out the Leeds and Alderley Edge branches of Botantist here for a taste of what to expect. We are particularly excited by the promise of a cellar of cask-conditioned ales, bottled beers and ciders - not to mention a splash-making cocktail menu. Food at other The Botanists is served from a deli-style menu drawing on the Aussie fashions for rotisserie and barbecue posh pub food, similar in relaxed, comforting spirit to what you'll find at The Oast House.

There is more news for Living Ventures too, as as new branch of contemporary casual Italian chain, Gusto is set to open in August in the existing Olive Press site on Lloyd Street. What with fine dining restaurants like Manchester House, Australasia and Grand Pacific to manage along side all these new openings, it's all go at Living Ventures Manchester HQ.

From July / August 2014, The Botantist. 78 Deansgate, M3 2FW. thebotanist.uk.com
