New Chinese-Korean restaurant for Trafford Centre

20 March 2012

News just in: there is a new restaurant in the Trafford Centre for lovers of Asian food. The memorably-named Wokooshii opens this week, serving Chinese and Korean food. It’s the latest venture from Gerry Yeung who is best known to Manchester food fans as one of the owner of Yang Sing in Chinatown. A famous entrepreneur in the city, this is his latest project, and it looks set to be as much of a success story as the Yang Sing’s other offshoot, Yang Sing Cathay in the shopping emporium.

Speaking to the Manchester Evening News, Yeung said: "If you go to London and surrounding areas, you can see Japanese and Korean restaurants opening up everywhere. Due to its popularity we wanted to create a new concept in Manchester serving something different to our diners. The menu will feature a range of dishes that capture the very best of Japanese and Korean cooking."

Wokooshii opens on Wednesday 21 March 2012 at The Trafford Centre.
