Discover the art of Malaysian cookery at acclaimed Manchester restaurant Ning. The Northern Quarter gem is launching its new series of classes, designed to uncover the secrets of Malay cuisine for competent cooks and novices alike. The classes launch in June and take place at Ning, on Oldham Street.

Introducing Malaysian Food (£95pp) is perfect for those interested in embarking on a new culinary kitchen experience. These half day classes are run by Ning’s visiting tutor Maziah Omar, who will guide participants through four of the most traditional Malaysian dishes.

Those who have already attended the introductory class or who want a deeper insight into the world of Malaysian cooking should attend the Malaysian Masterclass with Norman Musa (£125pp). Ning’s executive head chef Norman - who is also the author of new cookbook Malaysian Food and recently starred on TV with celebrity chef Rachel Allen - provides a unique experience for budding cooks as he demonstrates how to get to grips with three exquisite Malaysian dishes – teaching the recipe from scratch and explaining the key ingredients.
