The Michelin Guide 2013 sees three restaurants promoted from one to two Michelin stars. These include Sketch in Mayfair and Michael Wignall (formerly of the Devonshire Arms) at the Latymer in Bagshot.
Nearest to Manchester however is L Enclume in Cartmel. Chef proprietor is Simon Rogan, who won his first Michelin star in 2005. Editor, Rebecca Burr said that the cooking at the restaurant with rooms "has steadily evolved and is now much more aligned with nature.â
Eighteen restaurants have been awarded one Michelin star including eight in London. In total, 346 restaurants and 138 hotels have been added to the guide this year. Expect a run down of Michelin-rated restaurants within reach of Manchester shortly.
