AND there was us thinking that Bunny Jackson’s wouldn’t stray from its musical back story of the 80 year old bluesman with one leg, one eye no teeth and a harmonica, who the bar’s owner Lyndon Higginson met in New Orleans in 2007.
We suspected a tall tale at the time when Bunny’s first arose in the Great Northern. Now it’s moved on to become a raucous addition to First Street, its American template now encompassing Hair Metal every Thursday.
'Jon Bon Burger' is their new weekly event, offering burgers and Hair Metal anthems. All day, every Thursday, the bar will be serving up £1.50 sliders of six different varieties, or £7.50 for all of them, £2 fireball shots and burger specials which change on a weekly basis.
All can be enjoyed to the backdrop of Bunny Jackson's all day Hair Metal party playlist. Expect to jam to the likes of Alice Cooper, Poision, Whitesnake and of course JBJ himself.
