There's yet another new opening this month as Blacklock will open the doors to their highly-anticipated Manchester Chop House on Friday 27th September following their sought-after 50% off soft launch (running from 20th September).
This opening in Manchester marks the first Blacklock restaurant outside of London giving Mancs a chance to try out their modern take on the traditional British Chop House.
All about championing local produce by using Northern suppliers for their new restaurant, Blacklock offers a range of chops and steaks cooked over charcoal, alongside cocktails that follow a 'pip-to-peel philosophy' and wines on tap alongside an iconic 80s soundtrack.
Located in the basement of a Grade II listed former textile merchants, the latest spot tucked below the bustling Peter Street will sit 115 seats allowing diners to try out Blacklock's crowd-pleasing dishes including their signature much-loved and decadent 'All In' which is, in case you didn't know, a platter of chops piled high on a bed of pillowy charcoal-grilled flatbread soaking up the meat juices as well as interesting cuts of steak that use the whole animal and the now-famous White Chocolate Cheesecake that is doled out tableside with a 'say-when' approach to portion control.
And, of course, a visit to Blacklock is best rounded off with a visit from their vintage cocktail trolley, stocked with Old Fashioned’s aplenty.
Open every day for lunch and dinner Blacklock helps bookend the week with Butcher Price Monday where their Big Chops are the price you’d pay in the butcher on the way home from work. The restaurant is also expected to be another Sunday hotspot for a city which undoubtedly loves a Roast Dinner.
Their award-winning Sunday Roast, which has been voted the best in the country, brings Blacklock’s maximalist spirit to Sundays. Expect whole joints roasted over open coals served with Yorkshire puddings, duck fat roasted potatoes, seasonal vegetables and an unsparing amount of Blacklock gravy.
