One of Liverpool’s biggest names in socialising is heading down the M62 - and it’s going to be massive. The team behind PINS Social Club have confirmed plans to open what’s being tipped as Manchester’s biggest new hospitality venue in years, taking over an epic three floors inside the iconic Sunlight House on Quay Street.
The multi-million-pound project is set to launch in late spring 2026, bringing the brand’s trademark mix of competition, cocktails and chaos to the city. A planning application has already been submitted for the 25,000 sq ft space, which will be part of the newly refurbished, Grade II-listed Art Deco Sunlight House, currently being transformed into top-tier office space by owners Karrev.
If you’ve been to the original PINS in Liverpool, you’ll know what to expect - but on a whole new scale. Think: tenpin bowling (with VIP lanes, naturally), shuffleboard, pool, karaoke, beer pong, and even a gaming mezzanine with tech darts. Add to that a main stage for live music and their trademark 'half-time shows', plus a dedicated sports bar for Manchester’s football-obsessed crowds, and you’ve got one hell of a new playground for grown-ups.
Food will be served from breakfast right through to late-night, so whether you’re in for a fry-up or a few rounds (of both beer and bowling), you’ll be sorted.
The concept was dreamed up by friends Daniel Gillbanks and David Scowcroft, who launched PINS Liverpool back in February 2020 with the aim of reinventing competitive socialising through a design-led, sports-inspired venue. They’ve since grown the D2 portfolio to include Dog & Collar Pub and cult burger brand Almost Famous, with Daniel Kelly joining as Managing Director earlier this year to spearhead expansion.
"Manchester is a city that thrives on energy, culture and community — everything that PINS is about,” says Kelly. “This will be our biggest and boldest venue yet. Expect a space built for entertainment, competition and, above all, having a great time."
Over at Karrev, Managing Director Julien Buronfosse is equally excited about the partnership: "We wanted to work with an operator that shared our vision of breathing new life into this historic building. PINS brings exactly that — a vibrant, community-driven experience that will make Sunlight House more than just office space."
The £35 million refurbishment of Sunlight House is due to wrap up later this year, with PINS Manchester hot on its heels.
Keep your eyes peeled — more details (and hopefully a few sneak peeks) are on the way soon.
