After five unforgettable years at Red Bank, GRUB is set to say goodbye in true GRUB style with a three-day blowout of food, booze, music and memories from Thursday 25th to Saturday 27th September.
It all comes together in one massive send-off, with a Big BOGOF Blowout weekend packed with 2-for-1 cocktails, shooters and tacos, a non-stop 72-hour Happy Hour, and GRUB’s resident DJs going back-to-back as PUNTERS drink the cellar dry.
In terms of the line-up, Thursday's antics will see the final ever Fizzy Quizzy at Red Bank. Expect huge prizes, free-flowing fizz deals and the chance to literally win parts of the bar, from signage to glassware and more.
On Friday, a night of GRUB resident DJs will be going back-to-back until late with 2-for-1 cocktails and shooters to sweeten the deal alongside a massive cellar clearance. It will be the ultimate goodbye party and a chance to relive the nights that made Red Bank a Manchester favourite.
As for Saturday (AKA the Big BOGOF Blowout), attendees can look forward to a 72-hour Happy Hour, BOGOF cocktails, tacos and shooters, DJs throughout the day, and prices so low you might think GRUB has lost the plot.
Everything must go and it is going out with a bang.
While this is the end of an era at Red Bank, it’s far from the end for GRUB. Behind the scenes, work is already underway on a brand new city centre home. The next chapter will see GRUB establish a bigger, bolder venue at the heart of Manchester. More details will be revealed very soon.
In the meantime, GRUB fan favourites like Sip & Paint and Baby Mosh will live on just down the road at sister venue Fairfield Social Club. Keep an eye on FSC’s listings to stay in the loop with all the events you know and love.
Jason Bailey, co-founder of GRUB, said: "Red Bank has been our home for over half a decade, and we’ve loved every minute of it, the community, the traders, the parties, the memories. But it’s time for something new. We’re so excited for this closing weekend, which will be a proper knees-up in true GRUB fashion, and even more excited to show you what’s next. Manchester, we promise it’s going to be special."
