Taste buds across the region are set to be tantalised as the North West Food Lovers Festival arrives at Tatton Park this weekend.

Set out in the Cheshire National Trust park, this festival has encompassed two weeks of food events, with culminates in this Taste weekend.

Set over three days, from Thursday, October 23 to Sunday, October 25, the event showcases the best of North West foods, as well as the best chefs demonstrating their culinary skills.

Top names include, Simon Rimmer, Andrew Nutter, Aiden Byrne, Michael Riemenschneider (pictured), Leigh Myers, Brian Mellor and Paul Taylor.

A first for 2009, Friday will be a concessions day aimed towards the over 60s and school children. There will be demonstrations as to how to cook on a budget as well as cookery classes for young budding chefs.

The festival is a fun day out for all the family and with more than 90 exhibitors in the Taste Marquee, featuring the finest food and produce the North West has to offer, there will be something to please every pallet.
