Northern Vegan Festival back at Manchester Central this Saturday

4 April 2018

STILL suffering withdrawal pangs from Veganuary? Well, this weekend is a chance to broaden your plant-based horizons once again. The Northern Vegan Festival returns to Manchester Central 12 months after it made its breakthrough leap into this massive venue. Confirmation that mainstream veganism is here to stay.

The festival will have 200 stalls, 10 world food caterers, inspirational talks, innovative and exciting cookery demos, children's activities, yoga, free samples and a huge seated cafe area.

Entry is £5 payable on the day on the door (under 16's free) – 100 per cent of ticket money goes to animal welfare charities as the festival is fully volunteer-run. Alternatively, you can splash out £15 for advance fast track tickets to include a goodie bag packed with products, samples and discounts and offer available in advance from Eventbrite. List of all the stalls here (our picture is of cupcakes from Northern Moor's excellent vegan bakery, Gorgosaurus) and talks/cookery demos here.

From noon till 3am there will also be a vegan beer, wine and cider festival at their second venue 10 minutes walk away, The Thirsty Scholar on Wakefield Street.

Northern Vegan Festival, Manchester Central Convention Complex, Windmill St, Manchester, Manchester, M2 3GX. 10.30am-5pm, April 7.
