A TRIO of top notch chefs headline the new one-day Rochdale Food and Drink Festival on Saturday, March 24 – Jean-Christophe Novelli, Nisha Katona and local hero Andrew Nutter. The venue for their cookery demos is the Town Hall, while the festival site will also feature a range of food and drink stalls, a gin horsebox and a pop-up prosecco bar. Outside there’s cocktail making and chocolate making sessions plus live music.
Novelli (pictured) has had a long career as ‘Britain’s favourite French chef’ (Raymond Blanc may contest this), garnering Michelin stars and launching various business ventures.
Nisha Katona is another famous TV face, while rapdily expanding her casual Indian dining empire Mowgli across the UK. The Corn Exchange Manchester hosts the nearest.
Andrew Nutter has his own eponymous restaurant, Nutters up in Norden, while ToM is a big fan of his gastropub, The Bird at Birtle.
For the kids there’s CBeebies ‘I Can Cook’ presenter Katy Ashworth whos lively show is packed with games, sing-a-longs, and tons of foodie fun.
