After a recent overhaul of its portfolio of restaurants, the Individual Restaurant group is proud to introduce the new younger sibling of its Piccolino restaurants, Piccolo.
The fresh new Italian dining concept is launching in Manchester, with the first branch taking over what was previously the Gino d’Acampo restaurant, within the Next retail site in Manchester Arndale.
Piccolo may mean ‘small’ in Italian but it has bold aspirations and big dreams of delivering a wonderfully authentic Italian dining experiences that invite you to pull up a chair and enjoy just like in a proper Italian family home.
Piccolo’s menus have been developed by head chef Mark Window, who has over two decades of industry experience. Award-winning master baker Davide Argentino will be responsible for craffting superior breads and doughs.
Alongside classic regional Italian dishes, contemporary menus reflect the diversity of Italian cuisine, from Neapolitan Mozzarella, ham and pea frittatina; and Paccheri Arrabbiata from Campania, to the seafood dishes of Positano and desserts like Delizia al limone, inspired by the Amalfi coast. Other hero dishes include a Caprese Ravioli with tomato, basil and mozzarella, a Parma Ham (DOP) pizza with butternut squash, walnut and chilli; and wild king prawn guazzetto stew.

Though celebrating tradition on the menu, guests will find an interior that’s sleek and contemporary, with a colour scheme and art inspired by Italy’s unique regions.
