POUR IT OUT: Copita Mezcal and Tequila Festival coming to Manchester Cathedral next month

30 August 2024 by Rhiannon Ingle

September sure is shaping up to be a good month as the Copita Mezcal and Tequila Festival is set to roll into Manchester for the first time in just a few weeks.

Get ready to discover, indulge, and celebrate the best of Mexico's beloved spirits with your limited-edition clay tasting copita -  a small, tulip-shaped glass - to the dozens of stands on the tasting floor, and sample from over 100 of the best spirits Mexico has to offer.

The stunning vistas of Manchester Cathedral will be transformed into a massive agave spirits tasting floor perfect to immerse yourself in the world of mezcal and tequila while you discover the rich history and cultural significance of these iconic spirits as knowledgeable experts guide you through the different types and production methods.

There will also be a bunch of cracking street food dishes, perfectly paired with your favourite tequila or mezcal or one of the bar team's signature cocktails to line your stomach - drom traditional tacos to the best pizza in town, there's something for everyone.

Throw yourself into the lively atmosphere, grab a cocktail or two from the mezcal and tequila cocktail bar featuring some of Manchester's best cocktail bartenders, and treat yourself to a magical day out in celebration of these unique spirits.

The first outing of the Copita Mezcal and Tequila Festival will take place September 14th at 12.30pm or 5.15pm with tickets including three and a half hours of tasting mezcal and tequila per session.
